What? Two months and no posts, I bet your not suprised, I'm not. 

Anyway, I started back on my diet yesterday, back to counting points. My all time low (all time being in the past year, but I could probably say 4 years) is 223.2 on August 4th. This morning I weighed in at 233.2.  Now that may sound like a lot of weight to you but I fluctuate quite a bit and after all that is why I'm getting back on the diet. So ... back on points lets see how this works out, and a picture for reference:

My goals are this. by March 30th I want to be at 215, by June 30th I want to be at 199.8. Can I do it? I know I can if I set my mind to it. I will also try and start my food journal back on here, didn't do great with that but I'm serious about journalling right now.

Diet for Saturday - Went to Paula Deen's Restaurant in Tunica so let the diet go, it was a buffet, I tried lots of stuff, maybe we can figure out the points. Back again

o.k., its been a while since I posted but I've been updating the chart pretty regularly. Now until August 13th (the last day of weight watchers) I'm really going to bust it again. That is 17 days of going full steam at trying to lose again. I have a goal of 215 and I'm at 231.4 this morning. I saw 229.6 once and am hell bent on at a minimum getting to 225 in 18 days. BUT like I said 215 is the goal. We can do it!!!

Been a while since I posted on here but I am updating the Google Doc I linked in my last post keeping up with it, I started Weight Watchers this past Wednesday and it seems to be working a little bit. Weighed in today at 248.6 so that is an improvement on previous numbers, especially from when I started this side blog. Here is a current pick, maybe a little better than January

Today is exactly 3 months ago from when I started this blog and with other stuff going on on the health front it is time for a reflection.

This morning I weighed in at 252.6 and had a BP of 141/93. Obviously the BP isn't where you would want it but it beats the hell out of yesterdays number of 141/100 and then at the doctors office where it was 170/110 and they were very concerned (for obvious reason). As a result of this plus my previously high readings they are putting me on BP medicine, one called Diovan (Valsartan). I have long said that I don't want to be on medicine but I have agreed to be on this because I guess it is better now than after something worse happens and I need more significant meds. That is the dreariness that is this morning.

On the good side though, we are 3 months later and 17.4 pounds lighter. I have to get even more serious about losing weight though and more importantly need to the BP down. I think these 2 things are related though. Goals are nice to have but general one's just don't really do anything for anyone. So I am setting a firm goal of by the end of July, another 3 months away I will weigh 235. That is the same amount of loss as the previous 3 months so I know I can do it, plus I have even more incentive now.

254.8 this morning, not gaining, not losing, still high BP, going to the Doc tomorrow and probably going to get on BP medicine, not what I want to do but if I can't get it down maybe it is the right thing. Hopefully when I lose some weight I won't need it. All the more inspiration to lose weight.

The scale said 258.0 this morning which is obviously is an improvement, but I do fluctuate so I'm not totally buying it. What I am sure of is that I'm not at 270 any more and that is a good thing. Doing most of it with better diet this past week, not a whole lot of exercise

Not so great the past couple of days with walking and eating, especially with the Super Bowl but I did get up and do a half mile early this morning and weighed in at 262.8 so maybe I "maintained" through the tough weekend. The posting every day is a bit much for me time wise but I will keep trying as I think it will help prevent backsliding.

This morning came in at 260.0. Improving but I won't be happy until I see the 240's again. From there I need to get under 230. I know it's a long way to go but slowly but surely, if I can do a pound a week that would be terrific. Still not sure if you can see any difference in look, I do notice that I look so sad or unhappy or something, I'm not in these pictures so maybe if nothing else I can improve that

Ate ok yesterday, not great, weighed in this morning and weighed 262.6. That is down a lot from yesterday but I can fluctuate around 5 pounds at any point during the day for some reason. I walked a mile in between weigh in but it shouldn't have made that big of difference. Hopefully I can keep this thing going. Taking the pictures also make me realize how bad my goatee looks, gotta work on that.

Today I've made the decision I'm done being the fat guy in the room. The goal of this blog is to track my weight loss in both number and picture. Today I weighed in at 270.0 on a fairly accurate scale and below is my picture. I'm going to try and do it by 1. walking at least 1/2 a mile every day, 2. eating less, 3. trying to cut back on starches. I'm sure I'll try some other stuff and I'll try and talk about that here too
